On Wisconsin church planting network

The birth of Living Stone Church is not just a story about an individual new church plant taking root in Oshkosh. Rather, it is the result of a work that God is doing all over the great state of Wisconsin!

We are excited to be a part of the On Wisconsin Church Planting Network, which is a coordinated effort of all the PCA churches in Wisconsin to see healthy, gospel preaching churches planted all over our state. We believe that planting new churches is the best way to engage people with the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Though we are just in the beginning stages of our own church plant, we desire to be a church planting church. In other words, we want to see God raise up a group of people from within Living Stone Church to go and plant a church, whether it is in Oshkosh, Fond du Lac or some other neighboring community.

The video below explains what we are trusting the Lord to do in our cities and towns through the On Wisconsin Church Planting Network.

If you have questions about the need for church planting we would recommend Tim Keller’s article Why Plant Churches?

And yet I confess that I have come to feel that the primary reality of which we have to take account in seeking for a Christian impact on public life is the Christian congregation. How is it possible that the gospel should be credible, that people should come to believe that the power which has the last word in human affairs is represented by a man hanging on a cross? I am suggesting that the only answer, the only hermeneutic of the gospel, is a congregation of men and women who believe it and live by it.
